One of Edinburgh’s largest and longest established printers, Geo. Stewart is equipped with 5 Heidelberg Speedmasters and bought the Morgana AutoCreaser to fulfil a very specific requirement. Like all printers – big and small- they had the perennial problem of how to fold card and other difficult stocks without it cracking along the spine. They had used a platen press to perform this task, but this was very time consuming to set up and demanded a skilled operator. The AutoCreaser, on the other hand, is compact, fast to set up and requires no special skill. It handles all the weights that the company requires, operates at speeds up to 2700 creases per hour and can be wheeled to wherever it is wanted on the shop floor.
